Dr Michael Acierno
Thank you for choosing our practice for your dental health needs. I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself.
I grew up on the northwest side of Chicago where I attended Notre Dame high school for boys. As a high school student at Notre Dame, I became involved in sports, theater and academics.
After graduation I went on to attend Creighton university in Omaha Nebraska. I chose Creighton because of their strong healthcare graduate programs as well as their strong Jesuit background. I graduated from Creighton undergrad with a double major in Biology and Environmental Science.
I then proceeded to graduate from Creighton University Dental school in 1999, where I obtained my Doctorate of Dental Surgery. Upon graduation i decided to move back to the Northwest side of Chicago.
In 2002 I took over Dr. Stanley Borchers dental practice. Dr. Borchers practiced for over 25yrs at my current practice. He retired in 2002. I am married and have two fantastic children whom are 6yrs and 13yrs old.
I am very active in the surrounding community. I am an active member of the Edison park chamber of commerce and participate in various charitable events. I also am very active at my alma mater Notre Dame high school. I also help coach basketball and football at St. Eugene grade school and Norridge Park district.
I am a member of Chicago Dental Society, Illinois Dental Society, the American Dental Association Sleep Disorder Association and a member of the Arcolian Italian Dental Arts Society. For the last five years i have been a mediator for the Chicago Dental Society. As a mediator I settle disputes between patients and dentists.
I strongly believe in educating myself in all aspects of dentistry. I am continually taking hours upon hours of continuing education courses to keep up with the future of dentistry. This is not only a benefit to me, but enables me to bring the latest information and techniques to my patients. I have been taught and will always follow the ideals of doing anything and everything for my patients. As a dentist I always put the patients well being first and will always strive to become a better dentist for you.
